You should post something so that I could stay entertained instead of checking the FedEx tracking website again and again and again and again and again. Hmmmm.....there's a psych experiment where a mouse hits a button and is rewarded with cocaine every time. Then, the reward become sporatic. And finally, not at all. But the mouse just sits there for the longest time, hitting the button. I must say, I'm beginning to feel some empathy for the little guy.......

I think I'd go for a grenade if I was going to use firepower.

Theres a song the xiles sing, the fly...

Oh there was a little fly and it flew into a store
And it SHH! upon the ceiling and it SHHH! upon the floor
And it SHH! upon the bacon and it SHH! upon the ham
And it SHH! upon the head of the little grocer man...

Long story short, the grocer and his wife try to blow the fly up with a handgrenade, kill themselves, but then get to come SHH! on the fly...:-)

Or you could use a machine gun.......if those little buggers weren't so hard to hit......and if you didn't have neighbors......that would definately be the way to go.

Or you could go with first suggestion........

The other option would be to call a "pest removal" company. I'm sure that they would use chemicals too, but they would have more experience...and you wouldn't be directly in the line of fire, so to speak.

That's a hornet's nest. That one doesn't get left, but you have to be VERY careful about how you kill them. You have to wait until dusk or dawn and empty wasp/hornet spray directly into the entrance hole, hitting the hornets as they come out. Have enough wasp spray on hand to kill the entire colony at one go - hornets are nasty tempered, vicious wasps with potent stings.

I'm not usually one to recommend chemical use, but this is one time when "integrated pest management" would indicate their use.

Be very careful.
