Horticultural Wars..the opening skirmish

So, yesterday, I attacked the plants that were eating into the ivy on my front stairs.  There were mass casualties on both sides…I myself took wounds in the form of big, nasty blisters (today, I bought gloves to prevent more blisters.

Anyway…here are the results:

    Well, the attack looks complete. Ivy is very resiliant….

    Wow! Looks like a pretty thorough job. Be sure to water deeply, if Mother Nature isn’t taking care of it, to help the ivy recover. If you do, it should look “full and fluffy” in no time. And be a real step forward in the landscape.

    I’m looking forward to seeing pictures of the roses too. Did you work the extra dead leaves (but not the live Euonymus) in as extra mulch/organic material?
