Wiki: One room/community schooling

Posted in Philosophy, qkslvrwiki at 7:31 pm by qkslvrwolf

Listening to npr today I got an idea, and have posted the basics of the idea up on the wiki.  Have at it, but remember:  if you’re tearing it down, you should comment on it or add it to the problems section, rather than edit the main idea. If you’re building it up, you should edit the main idea.  If the idea causes you to have an idea, or a major rework, you should add it as your own idea.

I’m interested in any thoughts anyone has on it: mom, candice, I’m looking especially at you.

Link spam: Communication Evolution

Ok, I’ve been in a link-spamming mood, but I wanted to help get these guys page rank up.

Communication Evolution is working on a film that will help expose the theft of the english language by the neocons, and explain why and how breaking the system of frames, or as I think Candice would say, shifting the semantic fields (it is fields, yes dear?) of the neocon talking points.  You know what I’m talking about.  “tax and spend liberal”. “tax relief”. “death tax”.  The phrases that set people up to think about things in ways that they don’t actually exist.

You can see more frames that need to be broken here.  Check the site out.

Link spam: google h4×0r

Ok, I just had to mention this one:  google has a version of its site written entirely in l33t.  phre4k1ng $\/\/337!

I found it when I was explain w00t to a co-worker who, though a coder, was no indoctrinated into the more esoteric aspects of geek culture.

W00t! New site: done!

Alrighty, pretty much everything except for FTP accounts for people is up and running.  Alright.

Well, almost everything.  I need to get links up to the wiki, need to get a calender running, etc.

But man, this is nicer than the old site.  Too bad its now almost 11 and I never did my homework.  OOops.
